Kylie’s Giving You Up is hitting the charts and her business is facing some serious troubles.
The Observer reported that the Darenote Ltd, which receives Kylie Minogue's earnings from lucrative sponsorship deals and her lingerie brand, recorded turnover of $2.53 million in 2004, a huge drop from the previous year's 7.6 million figure. The paper also added that Kylie isn’t currently involved in any big ad campaign although last year she had big-money deals with Ford, Eurostar, Pepsi, British Airways, etc.
The 2004 accounts, filed last week with Companies House, cover a period in which the singer had no new album to promote. Selfridges had also paid 750,000 for exclusive rights to Love Kylie lingerie range.
However, the Australian “red-blooded” beauty has released a new album, whose hits are topping the charts and started the world-wide Showgirl tour.
