Carolina was born on the 6th July, 1987 in Panambi, Rio Grand do Sul, Brazil. When she was 13 years old she was discovered by a modeling scout as she walked down the street (the same scout who discovered Gisele Bundchen). Soon afterwards she moved to Sao Paulo and her career immediately took off. A year later she moved to New York and her big breakthrough came when Marc Jacobs cast her in one of his advertising campaigns.
Caroline became a vegetarian after a photoshoot with Steven Klein left her traumatized. The shoot showed her topless in a freezer full of animal carcasses. She has appeared in all of the top shows including
Louis Vuitton,
Versace and
Chanel as well as being in magazines such as
Elle,
Harper’s Bazaar and
Vogue.
Caroline now lives with fellow models
Cinta Dicker and
Bruna Erhardt in New York and if her current fame is anything to go by, this stunning model has many years of success to enjoy.
