Tennis sensation Maria Sharapova has signed a multi-year deal with Colgate-Palmolive reportedly worth at least $2 million annually. According to the contract Maria will endorse the company’s deodorant, antiperspirant and body spray brands, including Lady Speed Stick in the US and Soft&Gentle and Palmolive in Europe.
The 18-year-old tennis star, who won the prestigious Wimbledon title last July, is currently the number two female tennis player in the world: in 2005 she lost 3 matches of 25 and won two WTA Tours.

Russian-born Maria, who moved to the US when she was 7, started her sport career at the age of 14. “I’m very excited to be part of the Colgate-Palmolive family,” she said. “These products are such a part of both my personal and professional life – there’s such a natural connection for me. I’m looking forward to working with them for years to come.”
