Dsquared² is a high-end fashion label created by two Canadian brothers; Dean and Dan Catenacci (today known as Caten). They were born in 1965 as the youngest of nine children and grew up in Willow dale, Ontario. In 1991 the brothers moved to Milan, Italy to pursue their dreams of becoming fashion designers and creating their own collections. In 1995 their first Men's collection debuted, and in February 2003 they created their first women's collection.

DSquared²'s fashion lines have been worn by celebrities such as Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz and Madonna. In 2000-2001, the brothers designed over 150 pieces for Madonna's Drowned World Tour 2001 and "Don't Tell Me 2000" music video. Dean and Dan have also been featured on America's Next Top Model.

Dean and Dan are also designing the new official uniforms for football team Juventus.

In 2003, Dean and Dan Caten were awarded the GQ Men of the Year Breakout Design Team Award. And in 2006 they received the Golden Needle Award and joined the list of previous winners such as Oscar de la Renta, Gianni Versace, Manolo Blanhik, Jean Paul Gaultier, Narciso Rodr?guez, Valentino Garavani, John Galliano and Tom Ford.

They are known for creating large elaborate runway shows (using their background as party hosts way back in Italy). Their shows usually based on themes such as equestrian England and the foxhunt, homelessness, a men's locker room, the Wild West, Car Racing etc.
